Dolphins’ Bess able to play after injuring ankle

Dolphins WR/KR Davone Bess sustained an ankle injury during Sunday’s game against the Jaguars but came back shortly after being declared questionable to return.

Bess winced after being tackled on a first-half punt return and limped on the Dolphins’ sideline. He returned to the field late in the second quarter but lost a fumble in Jacksonville territory to stop a Miami drive.

Bess entered the game with team highs in receptions (59) and receiving yards (548), and he also had averaged 8 yards on 21 punt returns. Ted Ginn Jr. is the only other Miami player who has returned a punt this season.
