Colts clinch homefield advantage in AFC

Updating a few of the playoff scenarios around the league, as the road to Super Bowl XLIV in the AFC will now officially go through Indianapolis:

  • The Colts (12-0) remained undefeated and clinched homefield advantage throughout the playoffs courtesy of their 28-16 win over the Broncos.
  • The undefeated Saints (12-0) clinched a first-round bye with their 26-23 win over the Falcons.

The only other clinching scenario that exists in Week 14 is for the Cardinals, who can clinch the NFC West with a win over the 49ers on Monday night. The Chargers can’t clinch a playoff spot this week due to Baltimore’s 48-3 win over Detroit.

Here’s a look at the current seeding and playoff picture.
