Kurt Warner may be hobbled, but he’s not out. Warner suffered a hip pointer on his final pass attempt of the Cardinals’ 30-17 win over the Vikings Sunday night, an injury that left him visibly limping on the sideline.
On Monday, Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt said Warner was moving around well and the injury “probably won’t be an issue.”
Still, it’s the last thing the 8-4 Cardinals can afford heading into the stretch run. The latest, according to NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora, is that Warner expects to practice this week and will play barring any type of setback during the week.
Warner also put a positive spin on his status, saying he felt better Monday after being sore Sunday night.
“It felt a lot better than I thought it was going to be,” Warner said. We’ll be fine.”
