Hartley likely to replace Carney as Saints’ kicker

The Saints likely will turn to Garrett Hartley to replace John Carney for Sunday’s game against the Redskins, according to a team source.

The kickers have split reps in practice, but with Carney slumping, the Saints’ staff expects Hartley to make his first start of the season.

Hartley handled the duties last season, but he was suspended for the first four games this season for violating the league’s drug policy and the team went with Carney this far, going undefeated.
