Examining scoring options for Saints WR Meachem

The defensive touchdown scored by Saints WR Robert Meachem is going to be a huge point of contention in fantasy leagues in Week 13.
Here’s the play in question: Saints QB Drew Brees threw a pass that was intercepted by Redskins DB Kareem Moore, who during the return was stripped by Meachem. He then ran the ball into the end zone for a touchdown.
Here’s how I would score it in a standard league:
Since Meachem was a defender at the point of the strip (offense becomes defense after a turnover), the Saints defense should be rewarded for a forced fumble (where applicable), a recovered fumble and a touchdown.
Commissioners need to make sure that the play is scored correctly. If it isn’t, simply go to your adjust scoring option at the bottom of your league’s GameCenter in NFL.com leagues.
I run leagues that reward individual players points for all of their on-field achievements (for example, Reggie Bush would get the points for a punt return for a touchdown, not the Saints defense), so in this case I would give Meachem and the Saints defense the same number of points.
