Chiefs thin at RB; Broncos’ Dawkins active

Chiefs RB Dantrell Savage (ankle) is inactive for Sunday’s game against the Broncos, but the team will have LB Mike Vrabel (knee).
Second-year pro Jamaal Charles is expected to make his fifth consecutive start at running back for the Chiefs, leaving recently promoted rookie Javarris Williams and third-year pro Tim Castille as the likely backups.
Broncos safety Brian Dawkins (ankle) is active.
