Weddle out, Merriman doubtful for Chargers

The Chargers listed S Eric Weddle (knee) as out and LB Shawne Merriman (foot), DE Luis Castillo (ankle) and C Nick Hardwick (ankle) as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Browns.

Weddle, Merriman and Castillo didn’t practice all week. Hardwick hasn’t played in a game since suffering his injury during the season opener.

Weddle also is expected to miss the Chargers’ next game, The Associated Press reports.

Browns LB Kamerion Wimbley (knee) returned to practice, albeit in a limited fashion, and is questionable. Starting CB Eric Wright (hamstring) also is questionable after being added to the injury report Friday.
