Nice opening drive for Buffalo

TORONTO — Nice series from the Bills. Look for them to feature Fred Jackson a ton tonight, as I have been reporting, with him now the clear feature back in Buffalo. I expect to see him in the slot some, as well.
First big play of the game came with Rex Ryan blitzing. Lee Evans was singled up with Lito Sheppard on the outside, while safety Jim Leonhard blitzed from the right side of the field, where Darrelle Revis was locked up on T.O. (Jets definitely shading a safety over the top on T.O. at times already). Evans did well to run under the ball, and it was another big play from QB Ryan Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick’s superior blitz awareness, willingness to fling the ball up there a bit and better accuracy on the deep throws is why the coaches chose him over Trent Edwards a few weeks back, according to Bills sources, and I’d expect them to try to attack New York downfield as they try to put on a good show for this Toronto audience.
The city is definitely alive for this game. Streets were already packed downtown by 4 p.m., and it feels like a big event. Hope we get a heck of a game.
