Veteran CB Terrence McGee returned to the Bills on Thursday night after he missed the previous three games because of a knee injury.
McGee is active for the game against the Jets, but Reggie Corner will start.
Rookie safety Jairus Byrd also is active for the Bills despite a groin injury. Byrd is tied for the NFL lead with eight interceptions this season.
The Bills also announced that they will start Fred Jackson at running back ahead of Marshawn Lynch. Jackson rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns in last Sunday’s victory over the Dolphins, and he also caught five passes for 43 yards.
The Jets kept veteran safety Kerry Rhodes on the bench in favor of Eric Smith for the second consecutive game.
