The early games in Week 12 included some key injuries which will impact the world of fantasy football.
The biggest injury was to Falcons RB Michael Turner, who re-aggravated his ailing ankle and was forced out of action. He finished with just 33 yards on 12 carries. If he’s out in Week 13, RB Jerious Norwood will be a hot name on the waiver wire.
He had 50 yards from scrimmage and one touchdown in the 20-17 win over the Bucs, while RB Jason Snelling saw just four carries for eight yards.
- The Falcons also lost QB Matt Ryan, who exited Sunday’s game with an injured toe. Backup QB Chris Redman won’t have a ton of value if Ryan is out next week against the Eagles.
- Eagles WR DeSean Jackson suffered a concussion in a win over the Washington Redskins. He was taken to the locker room and didn’t return. If he can’t go next week, WR Jason Avant will be worth adding in all leagues. Avant led the Eagles with five receptions for 94 yards.
- Bengals RB Bernard Scott was on his way to a big day against the Browns, but he was injured in second half and was replaced by RB Larry Johnson. RB Cedric Benson should be back in Week 13, but for now Johnson could be worth a look off waivers.
