We’ve only got one team playing here, folks

DENVER – Take a look at these halftime stats and venture a guess which team is which:
| First Downs | 3 | 14 | |
| Total Yards | 38 | 213 | |
| Passing Yards | 9 | 149 | |
| Rushing Yards | 29 | 64 | |
| Penalties (Yds) | 2(30) | 7(56) | |
| Turnovers | 1 | 0 | |
| Punts (AVG) | 5(45) | 1(43) | |
| Time of Pos. | 10:13 | 19:42 |
Yeah, the Broncos are crushing right now. If the Giants keep losing players on defense, Denver can operate its offense from a position of strength and it’s going to take quite the effort for the Giants to pull back into the game. The Broncos are effectively pressuring Eli Manning now that they have the lead, as expected. Manning has been awful (the dropped passes haven’t helped), going 6-for-13 for 28 yards in the first half.
Yikes. New York can’t run the ball, either.
The only reason we don’t have a complete blowout is because of Denver’s red-zone penalties. Otherwise it’s lights out. The Giants defense is losing bodies and another ball control drive or two from the Broncos, and they will be running out of gas as well. I expect a heavy dose of Knowshon Moreno and Correll Buckhalter in the second half, and some nice play action stuff out of Kyle Orton. Orton’s ability to roll out and throw on the run, despite the ankle issues, has been surprising.
Orton has been a very efficient 12-for-19 for 159 yards in a half of work.
