Perhaps the momentum will shift

DENVER — Man, just when everything was going Denver’s way, Kyle Orton forces a pass (the sideline routes have been en vogue tonight), despite Terrell Thomas having superior inside position, and the Giants might have life afterall.
Horrible decision by Orton during what was shaping up to be a demoralizing drive for the Giants after Brandon Marshall pulled in his second circus catch of the game. New York needs to get a pulse and some tempo on offense now. Very unlike Orton to make a mistake in that situation. Could be crucial. Might just be the opening Eli Manning needs to reverse his night and reverse the course of this game.
Quick note of Thomas. I spoke to Giants GM Jerry Reese for a while this week and asked about an unsugn hero on his team, and he pointed to Thomas. The secondary has been ravaged by injuries, but the young corner has held up well and held on to a starting spot even when Aaron Ross came back from a prolonged injury absence.
