Goal-to-go woes

DENVER — Wow, it rears its ugly head again. Another efficient drive for the Broncos dies near the goal line.
This time it’s back-to-back false start penalties — and then another one on third-and-long — to derail things. Three false starts to three different players? That’s pretty hard to fathom when you’re the home team and there’s no crwod noise in what amounts to the open end of the stadium. You have to be better than that. The Giants are swarming Brandon Marshall around the end zone and falling into first-and-long really doomed Denver’s game plan in this part of the field.
After converting a gutsy fourth-and-five, this amounts to a win for the Giants defense, keeping it a one-score game. 6-0 Broncos.
