After a short turnaround following their Monday night loss to the Titans, the Texans returned to practice Wednesday, but held out injured starters LB DeMeco Ryans (ankle) and RB Steve Slaton (neck).
Texans coach Gary Kubiak said Ryans’ ankle was sore after the short rest period.
“We’ll try to get something out of him tomorrow, maybe,” Kubiak said. ”It may be all the way until Friday before he practices but he has a pretty sore ankle.”
Slaton, whose injury was described as a “shoulder issue” by Kubiak, said he anticipated being back at practice on Thursday.
While the Colts listed 25 players on their first injury report of the week, the Texans’ list was considerably shorter. The Texans listed seven total players including S Dominique Barber (ankle) and LB Brian Cushing (foot), who were both limited.
