Titans owner Bud Adams made another gesture to Bills fans Sunday, this time wishing them and their team luck in the next game and for the remainder of the season.
Adams took out a full-page color advertisement in the Buffalo News sports section following last week’s controversy. The NFL fined Adams $250,000 after he made an obscene gesture toward Buffalo fans while celebrating the Titans’ home victory over the Bills.
Adams offered an apology afterward.
“I do realize that those types of things shouldn’t happen,” Adams said in a statement. “I need to specifically apologize to the Bills, their fans, our fans and the NFL. I obviously have a great deal of respect for Ralph Wilson and the history we have shared.”
Adams didn’t offer another apology in the ad, but he wished the Bills luck against the Jaguars — who are one of the Titans’ biggest rivals.
