Orton active for Broncos, but Simms will start at QB

Kyle Orton is active, but he will be the Broncos’ No. 2 QB in Sunday’s game against the Chargers, a league source told NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora.
That means backup Chris Simms, who took the practice snaps with the first-team offense all week, will start in the AFC West showdown.
Orton didn’t practice all week because of an ankle injury and was listed as doubtful on the Broncos’ injury report.
