The New York Giants finished Sunday’s 34-31 overtime win over the Falcons without RB Brandon Jacobs, who left with a right leg injury during the third quarter and didn’t return.
The Giants announced that Jacobs, who took a helmet to his knee, could have returned to the game. Giants coach Tom Coughlin said he didn’t know the severity of the injury, but didn’t sound overly concerned.
“I thought they said he could have gone back in the game, but we’ll have to see,” Coughlin told reporters.
Jacobs was standing on the sideline during the fourth quarter and overtime. He finished with 12 rushes for 39 yards and a touchdown.
