Benson inactive for Bengals

As expected, Bengals RB Cedric Benson was listed as inactive for Sunday’s game against the Raiders. Benson was held out of practice all week following a hip injury in Week 10, and he had been listed as doubtful.

The Bengals hadn’t said who would start in the event that Benson didn’t play, but it likely will be a combination of Bernard Scott, Brian Leonard and the newly signed Larry Johnson splitting the work. NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora noted late last week that Johnson had received an ample workload in practice and could play a significant role against the Raiders.
