Cable promotes Gradkowski to Raiders’ starting QB

Raiders coach Tom Cable has tabbed Bruce Gradkowski the starting quarterback, benching former No. 1 overall draft pick JaMarcus Russell, according to the team.

The Raiders also have reached a tentative agreement to extend the term of their lease at Oakland Alameda County Coliseum through the 2013 season. The Joint Powers Authority, the city of Oakland, the county of Alameda and the NFL must formally approve the agreement.
