Seahawks’ Jones unlikely to play with bruised lung

Seattle Seahawks RB Julius Jones was hospitalized overnight following the loss to Arizona for what coach Jim Mora described Monday as a bruised lung.

Mora said that Jones also might have a cracked rib. Jones did not travel with the team back from Arizona for precautionary reasons, but was schedule to return today.  Mora said he spoke with Jones Monday, and that he was feeling better.

“We took the proper precautions in not having him travel yesterday with that injury,” Mora said. “At this point, I’d say it’s unlikely that he’d be cleared to play Sunday.”

Jones carried the ball twice for 10 yards against the Cardinals before leaving with the injury. The Seahawks turned to Justin Forsett in his absence, who responded with a career-best 123 yards on 17 carries.
