The signs didn’t appear too postive for Ronnie Brown and his injured foot on Monday. Brown was held out of practice by the Dolphins, and remained on crutches 24 hours after injuring his right foot during Sunday’s 25-23 win over the Bucs.
“I can only tell you, on Ronnie right now, that I am still in the middle of gathering information,” Dolphins coach Tony Sparano told reporters. “We probably won’t know more until a little bit later on this evening or first thing tomorrow, somewhere in there. I will let you know as soon as I know.”
The first official injury report was released for Thursday night’s game between the Dolphins and Panthers, which also listed starting TE Anthony Fasano missing practice due to a hip injury. Two other Dolphins starters — OG Justin Smiley (shoulder) and FS Gibril Wilson (hamstring) took part in a limited portion of practice.
Dolphins LB Joey Porter, who NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora reports was deactivated against the Bucs due to a coaches’ decision, was listed as practicing Monday.
The Panthers held five players out of practice, including starters FS Charles Godfrey (ankle) and DT Damione Lewis (shoulder). Lewis started in the win over the Falcons, while Godfrey missed his third straight game. DE Julius Peppers (hand) was limited in practice Monday.
