Stewart likely to play for Panthers; Williams not so sure

Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart is expected to play Sunday against the Falcons, but RB DeAngelo Williams‘ status will be a game-time decision after he missed two of three practices this week with a sore left knee, NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora reports, citing a league source.
Stewart and Williams are both listed as questionable. Stewart has dealt with an Achilles’ tendon all season, but he hasn’t missed a game. Williams also hasn’t sat out a game, and he ranks fifth in the NFL with 768 rushing yards, including 307 in his previous two games. Williams rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown against the Falcons in Week 2.
Williams’ status for Sunday’s game will be determined before the Panthers set their inactives list.
