The New England Patriots will be without a number of starters for Sunday night’s game against the Indianapolis Colts, including DE Ty Warren, LT Matt Light and CB Shawn Springs.
Springs, who was listed as probable for the game with a knee injury, may be the biggest surprise. He was listed as taking full part in practices throughout the week. Warren (ankle) was questionable for the Patriots, while Light (knee) was listed as doubtful.
The other inactive players for the Patriots: RB Sammy Morris, RB Fred Taylor, DE Jarvis Green, LB Eric Alexander and OL Rich Ohrnberger.
As expected, the Colts will be thin in the defensive secondary. The Colts deactivated starter CB Kelvin Hayden (knee), as well as backup FS Aaron Francisco.
The Colts inactives: K Adam Vinatieri, WR Anthony Gonzalez, OT Tony Ugoh, OG Mike Pollak and TE Tom Santi. The team’s No. 3 QB is Jim Sorgi.
