The NFL fined Bears QB Jay Cutler $20,000 for abuse toward a game official and DT Tommie Harris $7,500 for throwing a punch at a player during Sunday’s loss to the Cardinals, NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora reports, citing a league source.
Cutler was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct during the third quarter, when he believed TE Greg Olsen was held on a fourth-and-4 play. Cutler had words with referee Ed Hochuli to draw the 15-yard penalty.
Harris was ejected during the first quarter for punching Cardinals guard Deuce Lutui in the helmet.
