Tauscher returning to help Packers’ slumping O-line

The Packers will turn to veteran OL Mark Tauscher and Scott Wells on Sunday to help protect QB Aaron Rodgers, who has been sacked an NFL-high 31 times in seven games this season.
Tauscher, who re-signed with the Packers last month after recovering from offseason knee surgery, displaced Allen Barbre as the starting right tackle for the game against the Buccaneers. Wells will start at center in place of Jason Spitz, who went on season-ending injured reserve Saturday after missing two of the last three games.
Chad Clifton, who’s nursing an right ankle injury, is active for the game, but he isn’t in the starting lineup, meaning rookie T.J. Lang likely will be the Packers’ starting left tackle for the third consecutive time.
