Redskins lose RB Portis to concussion vs. Falcons

Redskins RB Clinton Portis suffered a concussion during the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Falcons and will not return.

Portis took a hit on a second-and-12 run play and stayed down on the ground for a bit before walking off the field.

On the next play, Redskins QB Jason Campbell threw an interception that Tye Hill returned 62 yards for a touchdown, giving the Falcons a 14-0 lead.
