Godfrey among Panthers starters who don’t make trip

The Panthers will be without several starters who didn’t make the trip for Sunday’s game in New Orleans. The Charlotte Observer reported Saturday that FB Brad Hoover, WR Muhsin Muhammad, TE Dante Rosario and FS Charles Godfrey didn’t travel with the team and will not play against the Saints.
No surprises for any of these players. Hoover (ankle) was listed as doubtful, and Muhammad (knee), Rosario (knee) and Godfrey (ankle) all were questionable.
Panthers K John Kasay sat out practice on both Thursday and Friday and is listed as questionable with a groin injury.
