Hardwick out for Chargers; Burnett questionable

The Chargers will have to wait at least another week before the return of starting C Nick Hardwick who was listed as out for Sunday’s game against the Giants on the team’s injury report. He hasn’t played since suffering an ankle injury in Week 1.

The Chargers could be thin at linebacker against the Giants. Starting LB Kevin Burnett (ankle) did not practice Friday and is listed as questionable. His replacement, Tim Dobbins (knee), was also held out and is listed as doubtful. Burnett has missed the last two games.

The Chargers also listed starting NT Ogemdi Nwagbuo (ankle) as questionable after he missed his third straight day of practice. The team listed five players as probable, including TE Antonio Gates (foot) and LB Shawne Merriman (foot).  Merriman showed up on the injury report for the first time this week on Friday; he did not practice.
