Bengals first-round pick Andre Smith has been practicing this week, but there’s been no indication of whether he’ll make his NFL debut this weekend against the Ravens. Smith took part in his sixth practice with the Bengals on Friday since ending his holdout, his third straight full session of the week.
The Bengals officially listed him as questionable.
Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com suggests Smith, the sixth overall pick, may still be a week or two away. On Thursday, Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said Smith “would have to be one of the best 45 guys” to suit up, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Seems to be it’s anyone’s guess, and the Bengals aren’t saying.
Starting safety Roy Williams (forearm) sat out his third consecutive practice Friday and is also listed as questionable. DT Tank Johnson (foot) was limited in practice, according to the Bengals’ report Friday. He missed two games earlier this season with plantar fasciitis.
