The Detroit Lions deactivated WR Calvin Johnson for Sunday’s game against St. Louis, reports NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora. QB Matthew Stafford, who has missed the last two games, is active and is expected to start, according to the team.
Johnson hurt his knee against the Steelers in Week 5, and has not returned, missing the game against the Packers in Week 6. The Lions were off last week. Veteran WR Dennis Northcutt is expected to start in Johnson’s place. Stafford has missed two starts with a knee injury.
