The Titans’ struggling pass defense will have some help against the Jaguars with the return of CB Cortland Finnegan and DB Vincent Fuller.
Both players are active today, although the Titans will continue to be without CB Nick Harper (broken forearm), who was ruled inactive.
Finnegan hasn’t played for the Titans since Week 3 because of a hamstring injury. Fuller suffered a forearm injury the same week.
The Titans also will be without DE Jevon Kearse (foot) and DT Jovan Haye, who wasn’t listed on the injury report.
As expected, the Jaguars deactivated CB Rashean Mathis (broken finger). According to the team’s Web site, Reggie Nelson, a former first-round draft pick who has started 34 games at free safety, will play cornerback in Mathis’ place. Brian Russell, an eight-year NFL veteran, will make his first Jaguars start at free safety.
