Don’t rush to add Texans RB Moats

If you started Texans RB Steve Slaton (or had him listed as the top start on NFL.com, wink, wink), you have to be infuriated right now.

Since being benched in the first half after losing a fumble, Slaton’s production (and your fantasy points) have all gone to RB Ryan Moats. The veteran back has scored 32 points against the Bills and their league-worst defense.

But I think this is a one-week scenario.

Texans coach Gary Kubiak is almost certain to get Slaton back into the starting lineup next week against the Colts. At worst, Moats will see a greater workload after what has been an impressive Week 8 stat line.

He also appears to be the primary handcuff for Slaton, not RB Chris Brown.

Still, I just don’t see Moats making an impact like this again.
