The time to deal is now if you have Eagles RB LeSean McCoy. There are no doubt many of you (me included) who have stashed McCoy away on your roster. Now is the time to peddle him to that Brian Westbrook owner in your league. Or anybody who is looking for running back help.

Westbrook missed his second practice on Thursday and coach Andy Reid said that Westbrook will be a game-time decision. Many in the media believe that Westbrook will not play, meaning McCoy would end up starting. This could be the high-water mark for McCoy’s value.

There is some risk. Westbrook’s head injury could linger, meaning a bigger role for McCoy. But, there is a chance that Westbrook could return next week and start looking like a Pro Bowl caliber player again. The most likely scenario is that both backs will continue to share carries down the stretch, limiting the value of both players.

You could hold him for one more week, hope he goes off against the Giants and then try to deal him. But again, Westbrook’s return could hurt the value. So now is the time to deal McCoy if you can find a willing partner.
