Ailing WR Johnson returns to practice with Lions

Lions WR Calvin Johnson was limited in his return to practice Thursday. Johnson missed the Lions’ Week 6 loss to the Packers because of a knee injury.
Johnson didn’t practice Wednesday as the Lions prepared for Sunday’s game against the Rams. However, his return to the field Thursday might signal that he’s ready to go.
Lions QB Matthew Stafford also was limited in practice, but he has participated in workouts in some fashion all week. That could mean he will play for the first time since injuring his knee during a Week 4 loss to the Bears.
