Brett Favre spoke Wednesday about making his first trip back to Lambeau Field as a member of the enemy.
And, as expected, he tried to downplay the hoopla that surrounds Sunday’s Vikings-Packers game.
“I think it’s more intriguing for everyone else,” said Favre, who played for the Packers from 1992 to 2007. “As I’ve said before, what I’ve accomplished there and was a part of … you can’t take that away.”
Favre, who joined the NFC North rival Vikings this season, said he isn’t sure how Packers fans will treat him Sunday.
“It’s OK to pull for your team, I guess, but I can’t make anyone cheer or boo or whatever,” he said. “What I was a part of there in the past will never be taken away. I’m very proud of that part of my career. This is a totally different year. I have no idea how this will unfold, but there are no sentiments one way or another other than we need to win this football game.”
