Eagles RB Westbrook could be out in Week 8

According to a report in the Philadelphia Daily News, there’s a “good chance” Brian Westbrook won’t be able to play in Week 8. He suffered a concussion in Monday’s win over the Redskins when he took an inadvertent knee to the back of the head from linebacker London Fletcher.

If Westbrook is in fact inactive against the Giants, rookie RB LeSean McCoy would get the start in his absence and becomes a viable No. 2 fantasy back. However, I’d look for coach Andy Reid and the Eagles to throw the ball a ton on the G-Men, who’ve been vulnerable to effective pass attacks.

That’s good news for QB Donovan McNabb, WR DeSean Jackson and the Eagles receivers.
