The Buccaneers released OL Marcus Johnson on Tuesday morning following his arrest on DUI charges, NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora reports via league sources.
Johnson, a backup for the Bucs, was charged with driving under the influence after being found sleeping in his car at an intersection, according to The Tampa Tribune.
Johnson had played in all six games after he was signed by the Bucs on Sept. 2, following his release by the Raiders.
The Bucs also cut C Sean Mahan and promoted rookie OT James Lee from the practice squad to the active roster, La Canfora reports. Mahan started the first four games of the season before being benched in favor of fellow seven-year NFL veteran Jeff Faine.
