The 49ers announced Tuesday that they have placed RT Tony Pashos on season-ending injured reserve, leaving coach Mike Singletary needing to shuffle his offensive line yet again.
Pashos, a seven-year NFL veteran who started all 16 games in 2008 with the Jaguars and signed with the 49ers in September, suffered a fractured scapula during his first start with San Francisco last Sunday in Houston. Pashos had replaced Adam Snyder, who moved inside to share time with struggling RG Chilo Rachal.
The 49ers also announced the release of LB Marques Harris and the promotion of LB Diyral Briggs to the active roster from the practice squad. Harris had appeared in four games this season.
