Winfield out for Vikings; Polamalu in for Steelers

The Vikings won’t have their best defensive back for the showdown in Pittsburgh, but the Steelers will.
Vikings CB Antoine Winfield is inactive because of a foot injury he sustained during last week’s victory over the Ravens, and NFL.com’s Vic Carucci reports that the Pro Bowler could be out for several weeks. Six-year pro Benny Sapp is expected to start in Winfield’s place, and Karl Paymah also is expected to see some action.
As expected, Steelers SS Troy Polamalu is active for the second time since suffering a knee injury in the season opener.
