Colts’ Wayne strains groin, might not return vs. Rams

Already down one wide receiver, the Colts can ill afford to lose another — especially if it’s three-time Pro Bowler Reggie Wayne.
Wayne left the game against the Rams with a strained groin and is questionable to return. The Colts already are playing without No. 2 receiver Anthony Gonzalez, who suffered a knee injury in the season opener and still isn’t ready to play.
Making matters worse for the Colts: Rookie RB Donald Brown has a strained shoulder and also is questionable to return against the Rams. The Colts drafted Brown in the first round and he has been a nice complement to veteran starter Joseph Addai this season.
Rams long snapper Chris Massey was carted off the field with an undisclosed injury, and his status isn’t known.
