Any league action against Cable won’t be severe

The NFL has continued its evaluation of Raiders assistant Randy Hanson‘s allegations that Tom Cable broke his jaw by striking him, but any action against the coach would be minimal at best, according to a league source.
The Napa County district attorney’s office released detailed accounts of the incident earlier this week, and the prevailing thought within the league office is that the information was “damaging” to Hanson’s claims. The DA announced that it wouldn’t charge Cable, and the NFL has only said that it would continue to review the available information about the incident.
