Green Bay Packers LT Chad Clifton, who returned Sunday after missing the last two games with a right ankle injury, left the game during the third quarter with what appeared to be another leg injury. Clifton had to be helped off the field by trainers and didn’t appear able to put weight on his right leg.
The Packers were already thin along the line, deactivating OL Jason Spitz, who had started all four games this season. Backup OL T.J. Lang went into the game at right tackle.
For the Lions, QB Drew Stanton replaced starter Daunte Culpepper, who suffered an injury to his right hamstring on the team’s first drive of the third quarter.
