Saints RB Thomas still limited in practice

Saints RB Pierre Thomas again was limited in practice Thursday, further raising concerns about his availability for Sunday’s game against the Giants. However, don’t go into full panic mode until Friday’s practice, which will be the most revealing. RB Mike Bell has returned to practice and already was expected to eat into Thomas’ touches.

Thomas hurt his hamstring during the bye week. Really? Who was running the bye-week practices, Pat Riley? (That will only be funny to Lakers fans who remember Byron Scott getting hurt during practice before the 1989 NBA Finals — a Finals the Lakers would have swept had Scott been healthy. And even then, it’s not that funny.)
