Detroit Lions coach Jim Schwartz gave a brief update Monday on the condition of WR Calvin Johnson, who suffered an undisclosed right knee injury in Sunday’s loss to the Steelers. Johnson was injured while running a route across the end zone during the first quarter and wasn’t able to return to the game.
Schwartz confirmed Johnson underwent tests on the knee Monday, but downplayed the severity of the injury.
“I wouldn’t label this significant right now,” Schwartz said.
Schwartz also said the team wouldn’t make a decision on the status of QB Matthew Stafford until later in the week. Stafford was held out agaisnt the Steelers in Week 5 due to a right knee injury.
