Free agents on the move: Tyree to work out for Bucs

Teams are lining up workouts for Tuesday as they look to address needs created by injuries or lack of production. I’ll keep a running list here of various free agents on the move throughout the day, starting with two receivers who are generating interest:

  • Free-agent WR Jordan Kent worked out for the Rams on Friday and is scheduled to work out for the Buccaneers on Tueday, according to a league source. Kent was a sixth-round draft pick of the Seahawks in 2007 and played in nine games last season.
  • Free-agent WR Yamon Figurs could sign this week as well, with the Browns among his suitors. Figurs played in three games with the Lions this season before he was cut Sept. 30. He’ll also work out for the Bucs on Tuesday.
  • Also working out for the Bucs this week will be free agent WRs Matt Jones and David Tyree. Jones is the former first-round pick by the Jaguars in 2005, who was released during the offseason after an arrest for violating a plea agreement stemming from a previous drug charge. Tyree, the hero of Super Bowl XLII for the Giants, was released during the final roster cutdown in September.
  • Along with Kent, Figurs, Jones and Tyree, the Bucs will also work out free-agent WR Chris Davis on Tuesday. Davis, a former fourth-round pick of the Titans in 2007, played 17 games over two seasons in Tennessee.
