Lions QB Culpepper an option in deep leagues

NFL Network’s Kara Henderson is reporting that Daunte Culpepper will start in place of  injured starter Matthew Stafford (knee) for the Lions. The Steelers pass defense has been suspect this season, so Culpepper is worth a look in larger leagues if you need a one-week replacement. Check out my quarterback rankings.

In other news, NFL Network’s Bob Papa reports that Eli Manning (foot) is expected to start for Giants. He appears to be a safe option for fantasy owners, though the G-Men should lean on the run against the porous Raiders defense.

Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb (ribs) will start for the Eagles, according to our Jason La Canfora. The veteran is a great option in all leagues against the Buccaneers, who’ve allowed nine touchdown passes this season. Kevin Kolb and Michael Vick will also be active in the contest.
