A league source told NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora that four players were fined for Week 4 infractions, three of them for hits on quarterbacks:

  • Titans DT Tony Brown, $10,000 for twice roughing the passer (made helmet-to-helmet contact with Jaguars QB David Garrard on one play and unnecessarily slammed him into the ground on another play).
  • Bears DE Adewale Ogunleye, $7,500 for unnecessary roughness (a horse-collar tackle against the Lions)
  • Patriots DT Mike Wright, $5,000 for roughing the passer (unnecessarily struck Ravens QB Joe Flacco in the head area).
  • Ravens DE Haloti Ngata, $5,000 for roughing the passer (unnecessarily struck Patriots QB Tom Brady in the head area).

The Associated Press also reports that Lions CB Anthony Henry was fined $7,500 for a horse-collar tackle against the Bears, and Cowboys DT Jay Ratliff was fined $7,500 for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Broncos QB Kyle Orton.
