Clifton ruled out for Packers

The list of inactive players for Monday night’s game between the Packers and Vikings didn’t include any major surprises, but did have one notable entry — Green Bay starting LT Chad Clifton.
Clifton, who was officially listed as questionable after missing significant practice time, will miss his second straight game with a right ankle injury he suffered in Week 2. His absence creates a ripple effect along the Packers line, as the team is expected to shift the left side. Scott Wells will likely start again at center, while C Jason Spitz will shift to left guard and LG Daryn Colledge will slide to left tackle.
The Packers other inactive players are S Atari Bigby, RB Brandon Jackson, CB Brandon Underwood, FB Quinn Johnson, OT Breno Giacomini, DE Michael Montgomery and LB Jeremy Thompson.
The Vikings inactives: CB Asher Allen, SS Jamarca Sanford, LB Erin Henderson, C Jon Cooper, WR Darius Reynaud, DE Jayme Mitchell, DT Letroy Guion.
Reynaud, who was listed as doubtful with a hamstring injury, is the Vikings’ primary punt returner. That role will likely be filled by WR Bernard Berrian.
