Mason banged up as Ravens take early lead

Ravens WR Derrick Mason caught a first-quarter touchdown from QB Joe Flacco, but may have been injured in the process.

Mason landed hard on his back in the endzone after leaping to catch a 20-yard pass from Flacco midway through the first quarter, and was down on the field for several minutes as team trainers huddled over him. He was able to leave the field on his own, though, and appeared to be walking fine. We’ll keep our eyes and ears on the latest on Mason from Foxborough, Mass., and see if he returns on the Ravens’ next series.
