Lions RB Smith will play at Chicago

Lions RB Kevin Smith will play today vs. the Bears. Smith’s status was in question because of a shoulder injury. He had 101 yards rushing on 16 attempts against the Redskins last week before leaving with the injury during the third quarter.

Bears starting LB Hunter Hillenmeyer, the  replacement for Brian Urlacher, is inactive for the Bears due to a rib injury. The Bears, who are already thin at linebacker due to the lingering knee injury to Pisa Tinoisamoa, are expected to slide over Nick Roach to start in the middle for Hillenmeyer.
